Is it strange to listen to rock and country music?

I can’t stand mainstream pop music but I love most sub-genres of rock and some indie bands. Some of the bands I like are Nirvana, Breaking Benjamin, Pink Floyd, Dashboard Confessional, Stone Sour, Dead Poetic, Bowling For Soup, Sum 41, The Cars and Boston. I’m getting into country music too, and I really like Lonestar and Tim Mcgraw. Is this strange as I know my friends and everyone else I know would find it incredibly strange if they knew this. I’m also almost 15 if this helps.

Cheesy lyrics. Talking about their dog, their gf, the beer they drink and the pick up they drive. Talking about bs like going down to the pond to swim? What kind of subjects are these?

Country music sucks , especially for a guy that grew up in an affluent suburb of a major city.

Also, whats up with that accent these country music artists have? Its hey all, not hey ya’ll

How can Miley Cyrus sue The Fold for making a parody of her song?

The Fold made a song called Every Band in the USA, making fun of pretty much all the mainstream emo/screamo/pop/scene bands, mentioning All Time Low in particular and of course Miley Cyrus. The only thing they did was use the same beat as Party in the USA, they didn’t steal any lyrics or anything. But they’re getting sued for making the song. How can this even happen?
